My first inspiration for this lab was, of course, stars. But, I decided to move it a bit closer to home, and do our Sun instead. This was the first time I had worked with felt since probably elementary school, and so I guess my since of design was stuck there a bit. One thing I didn’t realize at the start was how little the felt diffused the light. I had expected the light under one layer of felt would illuminate the whole piece, but felt is thinner than I remember.
