This video had a lot of really cool ideas, but I felt like most of them used old tech in new ways. That’s still super interesting, but I’m not sure it can compare to growing fabric with bacteria. It’s so different and off the wall and biopunk-y; I really hope it has a place in the future. The problem is, no matter how much I watched I couldn’t help thinking that the fabric looked like it had the texture of fruit leather.
